A day in the Mountains

I love Colorado summers especially in the mountains. It is so beautiful with wild flowers and a cool mountain breeze. My family and I went to Salida, CO for the day to hike and picnic. Cody and dad shot the gun too. Redford went on his first trip to our property and loved being free to run anywhere. It was pure bliss.




When we returned home we watched the fireworks in Manitou. It started to sprinkle while we were waiting but it was worth sitting in the rain. They have 2 traditional elements to their show: The waterfall start and the American flag at the end.

It was really hard for me to get a good shot of the fireworks, sorry about the blurr...

I am so glad we were able to enjoy the holiday!
