ONE
We have enjoyed having Redford so much and are so excited that he turned ONE this weekend. However, based on his behavior these past few days, it seems like this next year he may really test our patience. We are counting down until he turns EIGHT (then he may calm down).
Here are the TOP TEN things about Redford from the past year:
ONE. Redford likes to dance. When you turn music on loud and shake it; he breaks into the conga line.
TWO. He is not a guard dog. He watches the door and wags his tail with excitement.
THREE. Redford thinks humans are house elves (Harry Potter) and tries to give them clothes! (or he eats them himself)
FOUR. When Redford is thirsty he barks at his bowl until he gets a refill. Actually, he will bark at anything he wants...
FIVE. "BUTTS UP" = Play with me now
SIX. He thinks food with Salmon in it tastes gross or maybe he hated the food's name "Chicken soup for the puppy lover's soul."
SEVEN. Saturdays are his favorite because they are used for walks, brushing, and playing fetch at the park
EIGHT. He loves dirty dishes if he can bypass the fear of the bottom rack getting stuck on his tags (where then he freaks out and breaks everything inside). Yes, this did also happen to Canyon, who must not have passed his wisdom along.
NINE. Sticks trump all toys.
TEN. He loves water. He would shower everyday if he could and gets his head wet in the shower several mornings a week trying to hop in. (Not ok...)
Redford and his proud owners want to thank all his friends and family for getting him through his first year.
Canyon taught him to dig, place his nose near the table and play fetch. They love to play tug of war together.
Bailey taught him to take great naps as well as to leave some people and dogs alone.
Louie taught him to find big sticks and be off leash on trails. They are great trail buddies.
Charlie is his work friend and they compete over who will eat the most paper.

Duncan taught him to make wise decisions and Diana taught him to ignore all commands. Lucy, Maddie, Rex, Bo, Zach, Larry and Lucy (2) also played hard with the young lad. To another year ahead!!!
